Old fashioned single pane skylights often did a poor job of blocking noise from the street. Our noise reduction skylights effectively address this issue without sacrificing anything in the way of light transmission, energy savings or aesthetics. 

Skylights made with laminated glass are highly effective in blocking unwanted sound transmission. The difference between the amount of sound one of these noise reduction skylights allows through, versus a standard skylight from just 20 years ago is significant. The lamination produces a dampening effect that essentially swallows up the resonance produced by sound waves resulting in a quieter interior.

The only difference is the type of glazing used in the window portion of the skylight.
